As we step into a new year, I’m thrilled to reflect on an incredible milestone in my journey as a foot health practitioner. In 2024, I was honored to be selected as the Midlands Representative for the College of Foot Health. This role not only represents a personal achievement but also underscores my passion for promoting excellence and collaboration within the field of foot health.
A New Role with a Purpose
Being chosen as a council representative for the Midlands means that I have the opportunity to be a voice for our vibrant community of foot health professionals. My primary goal is to encourage more interaction and engagement among members. Whether it’s sharing best practices, offering support, or brainstorming solutions to challenges, I’m dedicated to fostering a sense of unity and collaboration. One of my main initiatives has been managing a WhatsApp group for our members, which has already sparked meaningful conversations and connections.
In my new role, I will also be actively searching for the most wanted CPD (Continuing Professional Development) engagement opportunities for members in the Midlands. By identifying and addressing the training and educational needs of our community, I aim to ensure that every member has access to valuable resources that help them grow professionally.

Another highlight of this journey has been being featured in the prestigious Podiatry Review magazine. It’s a publication that I have admired for years, and to see my name and story within its pages is a surreal and proud moment. The feature highlighted my background, my goals as a Midlands Representative, and my vision for the future of foot health.
I hope this feature inspires others in the industry to engage more deeply with their professional communities and to strive for continuous growth. I’m especially passionate about raising awareness of the important role foot health practitioners play in improving the well-being of our patients.
The Journey So Far
When I opened my clinic in Oakham early in 2024, I could not have imagined how much my career would evolve in such a short time. Over the years, my experience in medical fields like plastic surgery, gastric surgery, and dermatology has shaped my approach to foot health, but this year has been transformative. I’ve learned the power of connecting with like-minded professionals and the joy of being part of a community that’s focused on providing outstanding care.
Looking Ahead
As the Midlands Representative, I’m excited to see what 2025 has in store. From hosting events to encouraging new members to join the College of Foot Health, my focus will remain on building relationships and driving positive change in our profession.
